FAQ

Q. I am not a member - can I use all the facilities at Sherdons?
 A. Yes of Course - the centre is a public facility and visitors are always welcome..

Q. Do I have to book to use the Range?
A. No - just turn up and buy a token for balls and away you go!  If there is a group then it is a good idea to make pre-arrangements so that bays can be reserved together for you.

Q. Do I have to book to use the Course.
A. Not essential but The Course does get booked up in advance so it is a good idea to pre-book your tee-off time.  However, if you do just turn up and there is a free tee time, you can, of course go straight out!

Q. Do you have a Dress Code?
A. Yes we do though it is slightly more relaxed than you will find on many courses. Shoes must be a golf type shoe during winter. In the Summer we allow trainer type shoes. Shorts if worn, must be tailoured, Shirts must have a collar.  Tee shirts are not allowed on the course but are acceptable in the Range. Singlets and bared torsos are not acceptable anywhere.

Q. Am I allowed to drop in for a drink or something to eat if I do not use the golf facilities.
A. Yes, the Clubhouse is fully licensed and we welcome people who pop in just to use that side of the Centre.

Q.  If I join Sherdons can I get an official Golf Handicap?
A.  Yes, The Centre is affiliated to the National Golf Organisations so to get your Handicap you just have to play three 18 hole rounds with a player who will sign your card and and then submit the cards the the Handicap Secretary who will calculate your handicap and register it online with the English Golf..
