Dear All

Today we want to update you on work to improve the tees on our Manor Course.

As you’re fully aware, we’ve enjoyed the hottest, and driest spring, and summer on record. Whilst it’s been wonderful weather for playing golf, it’s certainly been challenging when it comes to keeping our Manor course in the best possible condition.

The wear and tear on the tees in particular has been an issue. Arid conditions, heavy foot traffic, and constant use have all taken their toll, and we need to act now to repair damage and restore their condition.

So now weather conditions are improving, with more moisture, and cooler temperatures, we’re
starting to over seed, and feed the tees to encourage fresh growth. In addition, we’re sharing with you our plans going forward.

These are:

  • First, we’re cutting and preparing some new temporary tees for you to play off.
  • Next you’ll begin to see the installation of new winter tees as we upgrade to larger, quality mats which we’ll use throughout the winter months to give the tees every opportunity to recover.
  • Finally, the irrigation system for the tees is being upgraded to better future proof against climate changes.

All essential work, and we ask for your continued support and understanding as we do everything we can to improve our course for you.

Our next update will cover the Autumn maintenance work planned for our Greens that will commence in October.

Enjoy your golf.
